[Taichung News] CHMER, one of the world's top five and Taiwan's leading electric discharge machine and wire cutting machine manufacturer, is located in the Taichung Precision Machinery Technology Innovation Park's corporate operations headquarters. It recently held a groundbreaking ceremony, attended by many industry, government, academia and research people.
Wang Wuxiong, chairman of CHMER, is also the chairman of the Precision Machinery Research and Development Center (PMC) and the first vice chairman of the Taiwan Machine Tool and Components Industry Association. He said that in the 32 years since CHMER was founded, as the company has expanded, it has successively set up multiple factories. In order to establish a corporate headquarters in Taiwan for global layout, it is actively looking for a complete factory site. CHMER has invested 800 million yuan to set up the Zhongke Machinery Park for operations. Headquarters, the base covers an area of 5,409 square meters, with a usage area of 8,500 square meters. The headquarters is scheduled to be located at the highest point of the park and is expected to be completed in one year.
Wu Dongquan, director of the Institute of Machinery of the Industrial Research Institute, said that Chairman Wang Wuxiong attaches great importance to R&D innovation and talent cultivation, holds ideals and insists on investing in R&D innovation, actively learns from peers in advanced countries, and realizes that to improve competitiveness, he must build his own technology, and has continued to participate The Institute of Machinery of ITRI has jointly developed the numerical control and power supply technology of PC-Based CNC engraving electric discharge machines and wire-cut electric discharge machines to achieve the goal of completely homemade CNC wire-cut electric discharge machines.
Wang Wuxiong said that CHMER has established an operating headquarters and leveraged Taiwan’s unique machine tool industry cluster advantages, coupled with the integration of industry, government, academia and research resources, to cooperate with the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ industrial zone to promote a one-machine-one alliance to develop and produce high-end and high-precision machine tools. , strategic alliance with the industry, and hopes that CHMER will become a flagship enterprise worth tens of billions of dollars.
