CHMER has joined hands with National Central University to establish a joint R&D center. Recently, CHMER Chairman Wang Wuxiong and Central University President Zhou Jingyang signed the "Joint R&D Center Cooperation Agreement" and the "Industry-Academic Cooperation Memorandum" on behalf of both parties. At the same time, the unveiling ceremony of the joint R&D center was held. Through the close industry-academia cooperation between the two parties, it is expected that the synergy between industry and academia can be brought into play, complementing each other to jointly cultivate talents and enhance the development energy of Taiwan's machinery industry.

CHMER has entered its 45th anniversary since its establishment. It is actively engaged in innovation and research and development. Its main products include wire cutting machines, electric discharge machines, deep hole machines, and high-speed processing machines. In recent years, it has also actively developed laser cutting machines and electrochemical processing machines, striving to become a non-traditional processing technology. A world-class leading brand of solutions. CHMER's continuous advancement in the field of non-traditional processing and smart machinery is very consistent with the main development of the Central Machinery Department. The Central Machinery Department invests a lot of research energy in the fields of electrical discharge machining, laser processing, smart manufacturing, etc. The development direction and philosophy of both parties are consistent. It also contributed to the establishment of the joint R&D center and jointly moved towards a new milestone in intelligent non-traditional processing technology.

Zhou Jingyang said that CUHK and CHMER have cooperated closely in the past three years on the establishment of educational research bases and talent cultivation. The establishment of this joint R&D center is expected to add value to the energy of industry-university cooperation, shorten the gap between students' learning and application, and help This is a great boon for talent cultivation.

Wang Wuxiong pointed out that CHMER has a deep relationship with the central government. Since General Manager Wang Chenhong studied there 22 years ago, he has developed a close relationship with the central government. He is also grateful to the central government for cultivating industrial talents. The two parties are committed to research on a number of advanced topics, including: integration of laser processing and computer networking technologies, research and development of fine mold technology and integrated systems, smart manufacturing implementation, etc. They also jointly participated in the Smart Machinery Talent Training Program of the Industrial Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and have been in the academic field There is close exchange of research and practical experience in the industry, and we spare no effort to jointly improve the technical level of Taiwan's machinery industry and cultivate talents.

Zhong Zhiang, director of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Central University, said that the school cooperates with CHMER with cross-department energy and hopes to create a win-win situation for the industry, academia, and students. Wang Chenhong, who is both the general manager of CHMER and an alumnus of National Central University, pointed out: The machinery industry is an important trillion-dollar industry in Taiwan. Its technology research and development capabilities and talent strength have a huge impact on Taiwan's industrial development. CHMER has actively invested industry-university resources, and the cooperation between the two parties has been long-term. For a long time, we will work together to take root in Taiwan's high-quality R&D talents and jointly enhance the international competitiveness of Taiwan's machinery industry.

It is worth mentioning that the purpose of establishing the Joint R&D Center between National Central University and CHMER is to encourage and cultivate more outstanding talents to invest in research on non-traditional processing, smart machinery and smart manufacturing. We hope that through close cooperation between the two parties, the advantages of this joint R&D center can be fully utilized. Active functions include attracting more outstanding central talents to work together to promote the development of Taiwan's machinery industry, and also strive to make MIT's performance in the non-traditional processing field more famous around the world.
