The 14th Machine Tool Research, Development and Innovation Product Competition in 2019, co-sponsored by the Machine Tool Development Foundation, the Taiwan Machinery Association, and the Foreign Trade Association, is the highlight of TIMTOS. The HD886L high-speed milling discharge composite machining machine innovatively developed by CHMER won the innovation breakthrough The highest honor of this competition is the Excellence Award. Another product, the RV853L intelligent linear motor-driven wire cutting machine, won the Excellence Award in other CNC machine tools and the Special Award for Smart Machine Tools. The participating products spanned two major categories, and both won awards. Winning three major awards, CHMER's innovative strength attracted the attention of the entire audience and won great applause. It is the biggest winner in the machine tool industry.

CHMER is marketed around the world with its own brand CHMER. In addition to owning key technologies such as self-made controllers and linear motor drives, CHMER has the highest number of patents in the electrical discharge machining industry. HD886L and RV853L are technologically innovative and eye-catching in appearance, stepping up efforts to upgrade Taiwan's machine tool brands and industries. Wang Chenhong, general manager of CHMER, pointed out that the product that won the Excellence Award in this competition, the HD886L high-speed milling and electrical discharge composite machining machine, combines high-speed milling and electrical discharge machining. This innovative breakthrough is the first in the industry! CHMER integrates its expertise in electric discharge and engraving and milling processing, and completes the two processes on a single machine, reducing the handling and correction time of large workpieces and improving the processing accuracy of finished products.
