Leveraging its strong innovative R&D capabilities, CHMER developed two models, the RV853L wire cutting machine and the HD886L high-speed milling discharge compound machine. They shined in the 2019 TIMTOS R&D Innovation Product Competition, winning 3 awards and rewriting history. In the new page, HD886L also won the Special Award, which symbolizes the highest honor of the competition, becoming the first major machine tool manufacturer to win three awards at the same time.

The 2019 14th Machine Tool "Research and Development of Innovative Products" Competition's Grand Prize Award was won by CHMER's "HD886L High-speed Milling Electric Discharge Combined Machining Machine", and another "RV853L Intelligent Linear Motor Driven Wire Cutting Machine" won the prize. In the two major categories, it also won the Excellent Award for other CNC machine tools and the Special Award for Smart Machine Tools, making it the biggest winner.
