CHMER launched a high-precision linear motor immersed wire cutting machine (P42SL), which won the 2nd Machine Tool "Research, Development and Innovative Products" Excellence Award.

Wang Wuxiong, Chairman of CHMER, said that the high-precision linear motor immersed wire cutting machine (P42L) adopts self-developed CNC PC-BASED controller for software and hardware, which not only significantly reduces costs, but also simplifies maintenance technology, is user-friendly and easy to learn. The human-machine interface for operation, processing graphics and trajectory display, remote operation and monitoring functions through the Internet have the advantages of being easy to add new functions.

The machine is equipped with a linear motor drive that does not produce backlash and uses a high-precision linear ruler to implement a fully closed-loop digital servo to improve the efficiency of fine machining and improve positioning accuracy. It has a high-rigidity honeycomb box base design, supplemented by three-point support. Designed to ensure the long-term stability of the machine body.

In addition, the innovative and easy-to-assemble slotted gantry high-rigidity structural design can reduce thermal displacement due to temperature changes and ensure high-precision requirements after processing. The special slope discharge waste line design improves the shortcomings of general submersible wire cutting machines because the lower arm needs to penetrate the processing water tank, which is prone to leakage and interference due to friction, affecting processing.

The company has independently developed a new generation of automatic threading system, which has streamlined parts and is the latest high-speed automatic threading system that can thread threads at water interruption points. Equipped with automatic threading, it has programmable Z-axis liquid level control, automatic water supply and drainage functions, and is equipped with an automatic wire supply system for 30 kg of processed copper wire to achieve the goals of automation and unmanned operation.

The water temperature of the working tank adopts automatic stepless mixing of cold water to adjust the temperature, so that the temperature difference between the set temperature is within plus or minus 0.5 degrees Celsius, ensuring that the workpiece is not affected by temperature changes and the accuracy is not affected. The power control box adopts a completely dust-proof and water-cooled design. The components inside the box are box-type modules that are easy to disassemble and assemble, which can extend the life of electronic components and prevent them from failure, improve stability, simplify maintenance techniques and save time. The self-developed new waste wire cutting device can reduce the space in the waste wire collection box and save the number of times personnel handle the waste wire collection box; the cutter uses a commercially available super-hard blade and can be changed four times, making it easy to replace and reduce costs.
