Municipal Labor Director Huang Heting said that if the industry must upgrade and transform, improving productivity in an all-round way is a key priority. The University of Labor has always responded to the pulse of industry. In order to help industries strengthen productivity, it has specially entrusted training schools to run special classes for industrial employees. It provides customized courses according to industry needs, and professional teachers proactively provide "on-site" services. Professionalism and convenience win The industry affirms that many companies have applied to open classes to facilitate employees to learn and recharge.

"This kind of course, which is combined with the operational needs of the company, is of real help to employees!" CHMER Electric, which ranks as the leader in electric discharge machining machines in Taiwan, said that CHMER's core major is electrical machinery, but some of its employees study electronics and some study electrical machinery. Mechanical majors are weaker. This is because most university courses are "professionally specialized" and few are dual majors. Employees cannot study both electrical engineering and mechanics. They will inevitably encounter problems at work, and employees cannot go back to school to retake it. The customized curriculum features of the special class for industrial employees allow companies to "prescribe the right medicine" to strengthen employees' mechanical majors, and truly achieve the benefits of training manpower for enterprises.

The schools hosting industrial classes this year include National Chung Hsing University, Shuping University of Science and Technology, Qiaoguang University of Science and Technology, and Jingyi University. CHMER Electric Motors was entrusted to Xiuping University of Science and Technology to undertake the training. In order to truly understand the operational needs of CHMER, Shuping held many discussions and communications with the manufacturer. It was decided to plan ten units with a total of 60 hours of courses focusing on the three major areas of structural design, mechanical analysis and bed washing processing. Wang Chenpeng, Vice President of CHMER's Production Technology Department, said that during the 6-hour charging time every Tuesday afternoon, most employees actively strive to switch classes to attend classes, so that classes originally scheduled for 15 people often have double the number of people, and the classroom is full.

Guo Wuzhang, a professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Xiuping University of Science and Technology, said that CHMER employees are motivated and have lively interactions in class. In addition to the teaching materials prepared by teachers, they are also brave enough to ask questions about problems they encounter at work, and even "extra request" to supplement unplanned teaching materials. Professor Guo said with a smile that CHMER employees regard the special class as a crash course. Everyone wants to use up the teacher's expertise in 60 hours, and they are very interested in learning. The teachers have to prepare lessons intensively before class, and they want to teach everything they have.

In addition to launching special classes for industrial employees, the Labor University also offers classes for public institutions to improve the resumption of work for employees on childcare leave. Director of Labor Huang Heting further pointed out that employees who apply for leave without pay due to childcare will stay for about 6 months to 2 years. There will inevitably be gaps when they return to work, and they must re-familiarize themselves with their work professions and skills. The company has reported that , limited by the cost of manpower training, it is difficult to provide on-the-job education courses for one or two people, and they often have to explore on their own, getting twice the result with half the effort, which becomes a problem for reinstated employees.

The Labor Bureau of the Taichung City Government has seen the problem of reinstatement of employees who have been laid off for child care in the industry. This year, for the first time, it has launched a special class to improve the abilities of employees who have been reinstated without pay. This will help employees shorten the adjustment period after reinstatement, and at the same time, it can also reduce the cost of public institutions. On-the-job education costs, creating a win-win friendly environment for both labor and management. The conditions for applying to start a class are that each class must have 5 to 10 people, as long as at least one of them is an employee who has applied for childcare leave without pay, regardless of whether he has been reinstated or is about to be reinstated. There are only 10 shifts this year, and the National Chung Hsing University is specially entrusted to host it. Enterprises and manufacturers who are willing to apply are welcome to inquire.
