The output of electric discharge machines used to produce precision molds once led the world, making my country the largest manufacturing kingdom in the world. Even now, it is among the best, second only to mainland China. This is thanks to Wang Wuxiong, chairman of CHMER.

Many employees have set up their own businesses, and the industry is full of talents.

When Wang Wuxiong was young, he worked hard to develop the first transistor electric discharge machining machine in China. This started the history of Taiwan's electric discharge machining industry and gave birth to countless talents who have flourished in the industry and continued to develop high-priced lines. The quality and performance of cutting machines are on par with Japanese and Swiss models. It is not an exaggeration to call Wuxiong Wang "the father of Taiwan's electric discharge machine industry".

Wang Wuxiong, who was born in the 32nd year of the Republic of China, admitted that he was introverted and not good at speaking since he was a child. However, he had a special liking for the research of mechanical and electronic products. He often kept reading books. He especially remembers that when he was in high school, he studied wireless science with great concentration, which made the teacher pay attention to him. deep impression. After retiring from the army, he was admitted to the Panasonic Taiwan Branch and was responsible for the maintenance of electrical products. This greatly improved his electromechanical maintenance skills. He won the first place in Panasonic's first national dealer and employee technical competition, and then had the opportunity to come into contact with the people at that time. A transistor electronic product that has just been launched and is used in TV circuit boards.

In the 61st year of the Republic of China, when Wang Wuxiong returned home, a neighbor next door asked him to help repair an electric discharge machine. Although the electric discharge machine was still a relatively new product at the time, it was not a problem for him and it took him 6 hours. , finally allowed him to find the broken resistor and successfully complete the repair.

Wang Wuxiong suddenly had an idea and thought about why not apply the newly launched transistor to the electric discharge machine to significantly reduce the consumption of electrodes and improve the precision of mold processing? As a result, Taiwan's first transistor electric discharge machining machine was developed under his ingenuity. Later, due to the excellence of the product, it caused a rush in the market. Many customers even queued up to buy his machine with money. CHMER's The business was very profitable, and it was even possible to continue to invest in the research and development of new products such as wire cutting machines, maintaining its leading position in the industry.

The high gross profit allows Wang Wuxiong to often "make one and make two". Therefore, after his employees have learned the assembly skills, they all want to start their own business. This has also made Wang Wuxiong famous all over the world. So far, there are 50 companies in the country. About half of the electrical discharge machine manufacturers are CHMER manufacturers.

The profits earned by the company are shared in proportion to the investment.

Faced with employees leaving to start their own businesses and competing with CHMER in the market, the kind-hearted Wang Wuxiong didn't pay much attention at the beginning. A saying he often said was "multiple shows, many people will watch", that is, if an industry wants to grow, it must also It relies on many peers to "close the market" to support it.

But as more and more employees went out to start their own businesses, he had to face the seriousness of the problem. When the wave of exodus broke out more than 10 years ago, he proposed a "profit center" approach, supplemented by high bonuses, and gradually Keep employees’ minds at bay.

And 3 or 4 years ago, when CHMER successfully developed a new wire cutting machine product, due to its high profits, a group of cadres were ready to start their own business, forcing Wang Wuxiong to come up with a new strategy to conquer employees. heart of.

He encouraged employees who wanted to leave to stay in CHMER for "internal entrepreneurship" to replace the idea of starting a business outside. That is, Wang Wuxiong or CHMER would invest more than half of the shares in the new company, and the required financial personnel would be assigned from CHMER to pay salaries to CHMER, but The new company must allocate one percentage point of its turnover to CHMER as a source of management fees.

Although Wang Wuxiong serves as the chairman of the new company, he does not pay a salary to create a win-win situation for each other. Employees who originally wanted to leave to start a business can now rest assured and sprint for performance. He can share the profits earned by the company in proportion to his investment, realizing The desire to become a boss and reduce the risk of starting their own business made most of these employees who wanted to leave finally accepted Wang Wuxiong's suggestion, successfully curbing the expansion of the CHMER employee exodus.
